Volume II only. Part of a wider series titled Sales Catalogues of Libraries of Eminent Persons, being a 12 volume set. This volume includes a catalogue of the libraries of the following eminent persons: Elias Ashmole 22 February 1694; Robert Hooke 29 April 1703; John Ray 11 March 1707/8; Edmund Halley 20 May [1742]. The General Editor of the series was A. N. L. Munby, the noted author and librarian who spent much of his career working in the booktrade. This particular volume was edited, with an introduction by H. A. Feisenberger. Loosely inserted into the volume is a publisher's pamphlet pertaining to the work. In the publisher's original cloth binding, held in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart, with minor shelfwear. The dustwrapper is smart, with minor shelfwear.
